Eldee, whose real name is Lanre Dabiri, is a Nigerian-American musician, rapper, record producer, and entrepreneur. He was born on May 23, 1977, in Kaduna, Nigeria.
Eldee started his music career in the mid-1990s as a member of the Nigerian rap group Trybesmen. He released his debut solo album, "Long Time Coming," in 2004, which featured hit tracks such as "I Go Yarn," "I'm Leaving," and "Champion." His music blends elements of hip-hop, Afrobeats, and highlife.
Apart from music, Eldee is also an entrepreneur. In 2012, he founded his own music distribution company, PlayData, which uses technology to track music sales and airplay in Nigeria. He is also the founder of Trybe Records.
Eldee is known for using his music to address social issues in Nigeria, including corruption, poverty, and politics. His music has won several awards, including the Channel O Music Video Awards and the MTV Africa Music Awards.
While he is no longer actively pursuing music, Eldee remains an influential figure in the Nigerian music industry and is recognized as one of the pioneers of the country's hip-hop genre.
