The Trybesmen were a Nigerian music group active in the 1990s and early 2000s. The group consisted of three members: eLDee, Kaboom, and Freestyle. They were known for their unique blend of hip-hop and traditional Nigerian music, incorporating elements of highlife, juju, and Afrobeat into their sound.
The Trybesmen were pioneers of the Nigerian hip-hop scene and were instrumental in popularizing the genre in the country. They released their debut album, "L.A.G. Style," in 1999, which featured hit singles like "Shake Bodi" and "Plenty Nonsense." The album was a commercial success and helped establish the Trybesmen as one of the most popular music groups in Nigeria at the time.
The group went on to release two more albums, "Trybal Marks" in 2001 and "Raw Footage" in 2006, before eventually disbanding in 2008. However, the legacy of the Trybesmen lives on, and their influence can still be heard in the music of many contemporary Nigerian hip-hop artists.
