"The Remedies" was a Nigerian musical group that rose to fame in the 1990s. The group was made up of three members: Eedris Abdulkareem, Tony Tetuila, and Eddy Montana.
The group was formed in 1997 and gained popularity with their hit song "Judile" which was released in 1998. The song was an instant success and topped various music charts across Nigeria. Their second single, "Sakomo," which was released in 1999, also became a hit and helped to solidify the group's place in the Nigerian music industry.
The group was known for their unique blend of Afrobeat, hip-hop, and dancehall music, which set them apart from other Nigerian musical groups at the time. They also had a reputation for their socially conscious lyrics that tackled important issues such as poverty, corruption, and social injustice.
In 2002, the group disbanded due to personal differences between the members. However, each member continued to pursue a solo career in music.
Eedris Abdulkareem went on to release several solo albums and became known for his politically charged music. Tony Tetuila also had a successful solo career and released several hit singles, while Eddy Montana pursued a career in acting.
Despite their short-lived time together, "The Remedies" left an indelible mark on the Nigerian music industry and paved the way for other musical groups that would follow in their footsteps.
