Ruger is a Nigerian singer and songwriter, signed to Jonzing World, a record label owned by D'Prince, the younger brother of Nigerian music superstar, Don Jazzy. Ruger was born Michael Adebayo on the 6th of January, 1999 in Lagos, Nigeria.

He started his music career as a rapper and was part of a group known as BSB, before transitioning to singing. Ruger gained widespread recognition with his debut single, "One Shirt" featuring D'Prince and Rema, which was released in January 2021.

The success of "One Shirt" led to the release of Ruger's debut EP, "Pandemic" in March 2021. The EP featured six tracks, including the hit single "Ruger," and showcased his versatility as an artist, blending elements of afrobeats, trap, and R&B.
